What is this PLAY BIG APPLE thing all about?

PLAY BIG APPLE operates a lot like the sports leagues of your youth. We bring friends and groups together to compete in a wide range of sports and activities. Most of our leagues are 6 to 8 weeks long with a final championship tournament and end of season parties.  We also host one-day events and tournaments as well. From softball, to skeeball, to scavenger hunts, PLAY BIG APPLE organizes the events so all you have to do is show up and have fun!

Why should I join PLAY BIG APPLE?

PLAY BIG APPLE understands for most people joining a sports team is about hanging out with your friends or meeting new people and having a fun time! Other leagues are good at organizing the sports but don't have much of a social aspect to them.  Other leagues are good at making it social but don't they don't do a good job with organizing the sports.  PLAY BIG APPLE is all about getting BOTH right!  We strive to keep the games fair and stress free so you all you need to do is show up, play, socialize and have a GREAT time!  

How much does it cost to join PLAY BIG APPLE?

Registration dues vary by sport and location. PLAY BIG APPLE strives to keep dues low while still providing a quality experience for our members. Most leagues range in cost from $55 to $125.

I have some friends that want to play, how do we get on the same team?

Get one of your friends to step up and be the captain.  Have the captain register first and start a new team.  Once the captain has registered, they can invite others to join the same team!  

If you have a smaller group of friends, go ahead and start a team, fill it with however many you can, and we'll merge all of you into bigger teams after registration ends. You and your friends will stick together during any mergers!  Getting merged onto a bigger team is a great way to meet some new peeps!

What if I don’t know anyone else in the league… can I still play?

Absolutely! Nearly all of our sports allow for independent or free agents to register and get placed on a team! If you're new to New York City, PLAY BIG APPLE is a great way to meet a ton of fun people quickly!

Lots of people join PLAY BIG APPLE for different reasons and sometimes you may find yourself on a team that you just don’t mesh with. No worries, shoot your league commissioner an email and we will try and find you a new home!

What is your refund policy?

We have a NO REFUND policy. Our rosters have limited space and last minute cancellations hinder our ability to properly plan and organize the season and our leagues.  If you are unable to participate after completing the registration process we might be able to transfer your registration to a future season, on a case-by-case basis.
